Miss Maggie's First Words & Sayings

Do I talk? Oh, you bet I do.
My first word was "Mum Mum"...now I just call her "Mommy" or sometimes to be funny I call her "Aunt Bonnie" or just say "Bonnnnnnie?" It really throws her off. Daaaahdee is another favorite word. He's my man.

Being cool
Yes. I don't say "yes" anymore. It was so boring. I switched to "yep" for a while but it sounded so childish so then I switched to "suh" (sure). Now any time someone asks me a question fishing for a yes or a no I just say "suh."

Crutches
"Kippy." That's my FAVORITE stuff animal's name. He's a great little dog.
"Mounty" is what I call my favorite soft pink-polka-dotted blanket. I must sleep with BOTH of those items. I hate it when one of them is in the washing machine.

Food
Some of my favorite words are food names. "Cookie," "ceem" (ice cream), "bean" (jelly bean), "Veet" (mini-wheat), "jooose or jooosie" (juice), "peeza," "gogurt" and "sawsa!" (salsa) I eat healthy stuff too, but I love to ask for cookies and ceem!

Etiquette
I'm getting really good at saying "peas" and "kank koo." I also love to tell people "bye bye" in my sweetest voice.

Hygiene
I love to brush my teeth and always ask to do so when I go into the bathroom: "buhshhh?" (brush) or "paise" (paste). I also love to use my Daddy's hay-buhshhh (hairbrush). I love water so I ask to wash my hands too whenever I can, I point to the sink or climb up on the toilet and try to get to the faucet and say "hans? hans?"
I love to have "low-shen" put on my after my bath. I makes my skin so soft. And if my bottom starts feeling a little red or sore like a diaper rash is coming on I immediately ask for "med-cin" (medicine) or "des-tin" (Desitin).

Potty training
I'm only 1 and a half, but I'm trying. The good news is I spurred my brother on to potty training because there is no way in the world he was going to let me sit on the potty and go before he did. Now he's an expert at going pee in the potty but he's still trying to work out going #2 (as of June 2005).

Counting
My favorite number is "8" and I also like "2." I have said 1,2,3 before, but now I started jumping from 2 to 8, just because it's a faster way to get to my favorite number.

ABC's
I have repeated the letters on my own (after mom said them) up to d -- abcd. Now I just throw in a bunch of sounds and try to keep the tune.
